Synagogue Vegan Challenge Lunch & Learn: “A Sweet Savor: Does G-d *Want* Us to Eat Meat?”

Saturday, October 30, 2021 24 Cheshvan 5782

All Day

We are pleased to announce that Bais Abe is one of 11 synagogues nationwide selected by Shamayim Jewish Animal Advocacy to participate in their 5th annual Synagogue Vegan Challenge! Over the next year, we will host monthly events that serve vegan food and provide education about the Jewish, ethical, environmental, and health reasons for plant-based eating. This annual program, generously sponsored by VegFund, brings veganism to Jewish communities across the country through a friendly, food-based approach.

Our kickoff event will be a Shabbat Lunch & Learn on October 30. Rabbi Garth Silberstein will speak on the topic, "A Sweet Savor: Does G-d *Want* Us to Eat Meat?" Join us for delicious food, enriching learning, and thoughtful conversation. To learn more about Shamayim’s vision or the Synagogue Vegan Challenge, go to www.shamayim.us.

Help us prepare accordingly by signing up below. Please note that walk-ins are welcome, and you do not need to sign up to attend. If you would like to be involved with the Synagogue Vegan Challenge, be in touch with the shul office!
