Yom Kippur Appeal 2020/5781

September 2020/ Elul 5780

Dear Members and Friends of Bais Abraham:

As we do each year at this time, we ask for your financial support for the Yom Kippur appeal, a critical component of our shul’s budget.

When we made our annual appeal last year, no one knew that 5780 would be a time of unprecedented challenges for the world and for Bais Abraham. Bais Abraham has survived many challenges in its more than 125 years of existence because of the dedication of four generations of people who believed that the shul had something unique to offer that deserved to endure. Your support for the Yom Kippur appeal will help ensure that Bais Abraham will continue to enrich our lives and the lives of future generations.

The goal for this year’s appeal is $45,000. We hope you will participate to the extent you are able.  We appreciate everyone’s generosity, including those who have stepped up recently to help in response to the pandemic-related financial challenges.
We and our dedicated volunteers have work hard to keep the Bais Abe spirit alive by creating numerous opportunities for Torah learning and community in on-line and socially distant in-person settings, including an outdoor space for davening and improvements to the air quality in our building to permit in-person services, under the guidance of medical experts. You can learn more about these opportunities on our website
or please call our office (314-721-3030) and we would be pleased to give you more information.

You may remit your donation by sending a check in the enclosed envelope, or by using a credit card or PayPal on our web site.  We offer naming opportunities as a way to honor or memorialize a loved one, as indicated on the enclosed form.

Thank you for your support!  With our best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year,

Garth Silberstein, Rabbi
