Sunday, August 18, 2024 14 Av 5784

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

It is our great pleasure to invite all who are interested to a special Sunday training session to learn how to do the mitzvah of Bikur Cholim, visiting the sick, in practical ways. It will include concrete suggestions, role playing and more. This session will be taught by Rabbi Dr. Joseph S. Ozarowski, Rabbinic Counselor and Chaplain for JCFS Chicago. Board-Certified Chaplain and prolific author, Rabbi Ozarowski's first book, To Walk in God's Ways - Jewish Pastoral Perspectives on Illness and Bereavement, (hard cover 1995, Jason Aronson, paperback 2004, Rowman and Littlefield) is considered a standard in the field of Judaism and pastoral care. This session will be oriented toward those interested in playing a role in Bikur Cholim/Caring/Chesed Committees at Bais Abe (or elsewhere). Join us Sunday, August 18, 8am for minyan and refreshments, then the training from 9-11am.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
