See below for our regular programming. Most classes are held in the Gardner Beit Midrash at the Shul (6910 Delmar, University City.) For weekday classes enter through the west side door and go up the stairs.

Talmud Class
Shabbat 8:00-9:00 a.m.
Every Shabbat morning, at 8:00 a.m. Rabbi Shafner teaches a class on selected portions of the Talmud. Everyone is welcome. Knowledge of Hebrew and Aramaic is not needed as the translated Schottenstein edition of the Talmud is used. At present we are studying Tractate Brachot (Blessings.)
Junior Congregation
Shabbat morning during the haftorah reading
We have a weekly Junior Congregation meeting with many different activities though those weeks when Rabbi Shafner tells a story are often the best! For younger members we have complimentary baby-sitting on Shabbat mornings.
Deepen Your Davening
The fourth Saturday of each secular month during the haftorah reading
Join us for our new learning service. As an alternative to the regular service "Deepen Your Davening" will focus on learning about the prayers and on kavanah (concentration and insight in prayer.) All are welcome.
Shabbat Lunch and Learn
Some Shabbat lunchtimes
On the third Shabbat of most secular months except July a speaker joins us to teach us something new and interesting. The learning takes places after lunch, which generally begins around 12 noon after Shabbat morning services. Check the calendar for dates. (Occasionally the date may be on a different shabbat rather than the third shabbat of the month.) Make your lunch reservation.
Sunday Morning Minyan/Breakfast/Learning
Sunday Morning at 8:00 a.m.
Each Sunday morning after the 8 a.m. Shacharit minyan the shul sponsors a breakfast and Torah study session. Rabbi Shafner teaches a short text-based class on part of the up-coming week's Torah portion, examining some of its classic and more mystical commentaries. Everyone is welcome.
Torah on Tap
Every other Monday night, starting May 1st, 2006 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Rabbi Shafner will teach various topics at Blueberry Hill, 6504 Delmar, University City. All (over 21) are welcome to attend. Go to the Shmooze (Shul newsletter) to confirm the class dates.
Women's Interactive Text-Based Learning

Maariv and Chevruta learning
Wednesdays, 7:30-8:15 p.m and 8:30-9:15 p.m.
Maariv 8:15-8:30 p.m.
In collaboration with the Torah MiTzion Kollel we foster chavruta learning (one on one learning with a study partner) on a topic of your choice. Contact Rabbi Shafner for a study partner.
