Enclosed please find an invoice for Bais Abraham Congregation’s 2011 annual dues.

Our shul is now 116 years old. The reason we have endured and continue to thrive is the support of members and friends like you. Under the leadership of our inspiring Rabbi Hyim Shafner, we fill a unique role in the Orthodox community and the larger St. Louis Jewish community, as we combine openness and diversity with being a Torah-observant shul.

We offer an wide array of programs for our various constituents – such as “Torah on Tap,” the “Women’s Rosh Chodesh Circle,” and the “Wednesday Night Beit Midrash.” We are concluding our new Wednesday night Parent/Child Learning Series, which we hope to repeat next year, complete with a delicious supper at shul and craft projects. In addition, Bais Abe is the place to be for celebrating the Jewish holidays in style! Our Lag B’Omer bonfire is legendary, and our Purim seudah is fun for all ages.

Shabbat, as always, is one of the cornerstones of our shul and we encourage everyone to take part in the spiritual atmosphere that davening together as a community creates. If you would like a “mentor” to help guide you through the service, Rabbi Shafner will find the right person for you. During morning services each Shabbat, we have a kid-friendly group for young children.

This is the best way to stay informed about our many programs and opportunities available to you as a member, including Friday night and Shabbat special kiddushes and communal meals. If you would like to receive The Shmooze by regular mail, please call the shul office and we will be happy to arrange it. You can also check out our Facebook page to stay updated on what is happening and to weigh-in on conversation topics.

Dues cover membership for a year term that coincides with the secular calendar, January through December. If you require special dues arrangements, please do not hesitate to let us know. We will keep your inquiry confidential and help to arrange a convenient payment option for you.

As we are already well into 2011, we ask that if at all possible, dues for 2011 be paid in the very near future, as this would help us with cash flow management. Thank you for helping us continue our great history and implement the exciting plans we have for the year!
